After is a creative agency founded on 11 April 2007 by Marc Ros (Lorente, Wieden+Kennedy, Leagas Delaney, Euro RSCG, HAVAS) and Risto Mejide (Ogilvy, Saatchi, Lorente, SCPF). In fact, it was founded as AFTERSHARE.TV, but in 2021 we shortened it to After, because that’s what our clients called us, and because the name reflects our vision of working on what’s “behind”, “beyond”, “remaining” or “for the long term”.
Today, After comprises almost 90 people and has offices in Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia, allowing us to be closer to our teams and our clients. In addition, we’re active in Portugal, as some of our clients have encouraged this. And we collaborate in international campaigns through all kinds of partnerships (perhaps that’s why our registered company name is After Worldwide).

After’s activities span and permeate all layers: from creativity, which is our core product, through content, where we have special expertise, production in all its forms, the digital world, media, yes, any media, and data and technology. And all of this, always, always, always with strategy at the core.
Having strategy at the core is not just a phrase on a website or in a presentation. It’s the reason why Marc and Risto created the company. Because historically agencies have spent too little time questioning, agitating, asking questions and too much time giving the same old answers. When we talk about working with strategy at the core, we’re talking about following a rigour and a process that dedicates time to the most important part, the part that shapes everything: the creation of value between companies and people.
By working in this way, and with the passing years, we’ve earned the trust of all kinds of companies and projects. Some may have seen us as too small to work with, and others as too big, but the truth is that today we work for the company with the highest turnover in the country, and the company with probably the lowest (for the moment). We work for Mercadona, and we also work for projects that are about to see the light of day, such as Housfy in 2017, today considered a unicorn in the making. But we were already there when the turnover was zero.
Mercadona, MediaMarkt, Campari, CaixaBank, The Trinidad Alfonso Foundation, The Hortensia Herrero Foundation, BIMBO, AECOC, ASEDAS, Inprovo, LEVEL, Bezoya, Naturgy, FoodieFame, Fiction Express, B-Value, AENA, the Mediterranean Corridor lobby. Many of them you’ll know well. Others may sound familiar. Some probably won’t. They are all currently After customers, and many have been for many years.
After is an agency, but first and foremost it’s an ecosystem. Hemos hecho cosas para y con el sector, como el Foro Branducers, el primer foro de Branded Content del país creado en 2011. También hemos ayudado a impulsar la BCMA, hemos formado parte de Conector, una de las principales aceleradoras de start ups del país y no paramos de generar propuestas que creen valor para nuestros clientes y para nuestro equipo. Recientemente hemos creado AfterLab para explorar la tecnología, los datos y la AI.
In 2022, in the same vein of continuous improvement and updating, we began to draw up our Sustainability Plan, in order to have a concrete and measurable impact on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) relevant to our activity. After two years of work, AENOR has recognised our commitment with the Certificate of Sustainability and Contribution to SDGs. We’re also implementing a new Equality Plan and a plan to reduce carbon footprint. On the financial side, our accounts are independently audited every year by EY, which certifies not only the rigour, but also the financial health of the company.
We’ve left the most important thing for last: our business is based on people who dedicate time to companies and projects in order to make them grow. It’s as simple as that. In all our decisions since 11 April 2007 (and there have been many!) After has prioritised people, the team, the product and maintaining our non-negotiable culture. With successes and mistakes but with an understanding that this is what makes each of us different and gives life meaning. And knowing that this is what has brought us here, today, now, to be able to share it with you.
